Bellingham is the main metropolitan city in Whatcom County. For this reason Whatcom County real estate revolves around the city of Bellingham. It is the most expensive city based on average home sale price. However even though it is an expensive city, it has a lot to offer prospective residents.

Lynden is the second largest city in Whatcom County. The city has humble roots as it began as a pioneer settlement in 1874.
